On behalf of the CKC membership, the CyberKnife Coalition will from time to time, interact with and advise the appropriate government regulatory agencies and other medical professional societies.

Current CMS initiatives, payer conditions and exclusions, and outside threats are working to put the current codes and reimbursement at risk of consolidation, reduction, or elimination.
The CyberKnife Coalition is an independent clearinghouse for CyberKnife sites which leverages the expertise and experience of all sites to aid in resolving common issues including:
Coalition Members will have access to a password protected CyberKnife Coalition website which will house:

Start-up documentation, forms, etc. for new centers

Best practices
-
Access to billing and reimbursement specialists

Billing guide and billing formats updated annually

Links to equipment vendors, architects and contractors

List of CyberKnife Centers and contact information

Private discussion forum for users to post questions for help from other centers.

Board Members, billing and reimbursement specialists, etc.
Coalition Member Centers will also be invited to participate in the Annual CyberKnife Users Meeting with access to engineers, physicists, and physicians, to provide input for enhancements to technology, patient treatment, reimbursement issues, center start-up, etc.
Membership Qualifications
A candidate for Membership in the Coalition shall meet the following qualifications:

The candidate shall be in an administrative role related to the operational management of a CyberKnife Center.

The candidate shall be employed by an entity that has control or majority influence over the operational management of a CyberKnife.

The candidate must submit an application with accurate and verifiable information. Discovery that information is not accurate or verifiable is cause for denial or termination of membership.
Annual Membership Dues & Voting Privileges
Dues of the CyberKnife Coalition are set annually by the Board of Directors. Dues apply to membership
for the calendar year and will be invoiced annually.
2006 Membership Dues are set at:

$1000.00 USD for non-owner/operator individual health care professionals that utilize or develop CyberKnife sites and technology. This is a non-voting membership.

$2000.00 USD for operator or owner of a CyberKnife or CyberKnife facility (voting) (one operator and one owner per CyberKnife facility, if owner and operator are same entity, only one may be a voting member) treatment facilities (hospitals, freestanding centers, etc). This is a voting membership.

$5000.00 USD for vendors and corporate members that develop or supply CK manufacturers or CK sites and adjunct technology. This is a non-voting membership.
Membership Certificate
Upon acceptance, access to the CyberKnife Coalition information will be available. When the CKC web site is launched, a username and password will be assigned and web access will be granted to all members. Additionally, a hand-lettered certificate is prepared for each member. Certificates are mailed or presented at the general CyberKnife Coalition members meeting at the Annual CyberKnife Users’ Meeting.
